Shanghai Fashion week-2014 held in April witnessed something unique on its ramp. An anti-pollution mask was given to the audience after the show of the men’s wear brand Blackgateone.
Air Pollution In China Inspires New Fashion Trend

This mask was printed with black and white geometric patterns. Idea of giveaway was by artistic director of Blackgateon-Hada Zucker. In January 2014, city experienced severe smog which made people to stay inside, schools were closed, and flights were diverted. Government was proposed with an idea of arming citizen’s of shanghai with anti-pollution masks. Distribution of anti-pollution mask in the show is to create awareness in people regarding ongoing pollution in shanghai and also creating a fashion trend of masks.
